sculpture s1.1-1.4
Material: galvanized steel, 20mm x 600mm x 1mm
The reason I choose this material is because it is soft to bend and twist to shapes, so it would easy to create small sculpture model.
I bended and twisted the shape of these bracket and finish them by making the "base" that could stand on its own weight and balanced.
Because they are ready made brackets, so their shape and pattern are already presentable.
The bended and twisted area exaggerated the light and dark contrast which created a interesting "professional" look to these sculptures.

sculpture s1.1
Material: Acrylic, super glue
I've cut 12 pieces of the same size rectangular out of acrylic sheet. Originally I was planning to make a model of a chair, and let the extra pieces to extend, which it would change the shape of the chair, become a abstract form. I'm interesting in the dimensions that the extend pieces would create. But after I start working on it, I've realized I could only work with 90 degree, limit to the shape of my acrylic pieces, so it narrows down the possibilities of the dimensions that the chair could extend, which means I could only work with 2 dimensions if I want to keep the visual balance of this object.
